About the role
JOB PURPOSE
The Global Corporate Events Project Manager & Cost controller will play a critical role in ensuring that all Cruise Division Global Corporate Events (MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys) are managed efficiently and cost-effectively. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a high level of financial and project management expertise, as well as excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and have a passion for delivering exceptional financial performance.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement a comprehensive cost control strategy for Global Corporate Events that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain budgets for Global Corporate Events, for both MSC Cruises and Explora Journeys.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Procurement and Ground Operation, to optimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Makes all the purchase orders in relation to the organization of the events.
- Analyse data and generate reports to support decision-making and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop, maintain, and update detailed project plans outlining tasks, timelines, resources, and dependencies to ensure successful project execution.
- Support the project delivery timelines and priorities to help ensure all projects are delivered efficiently and on time.
- Travel for onsite inspections and project supporting events.
- Ensure excellent guest service and quality delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)
- Fluent English (oral and written). Any other European language is an advantage.
- At least 3+ years’ experience in project management, financial management and cost control principles and practices.
- Very good knowledge of IT.
- Committed, flexible, able to roll up her/his sleeves, with an unshakeable can-do attitude.
- PC Skills, Excel (windows offices a must).
- Motivated and proactive individual with multitasking abilities, teamwork and ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders and to coordinate complex tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and control costs in a complex and challenging environment.
VISA REQUIREMENTS (if any)
EU Passport or Right to work in Switzerland.
