YOUR FUTURE CONTRIBUTION
As Global Manager Sustainability Communications (f/m/d), your role is central to protecting and promoting Decathlon's reputation regarding sustainability.
Communication Strategy:
Develop and execute the global communication plan (internal/external) aligned with the company's Sustainability Project.
Executive Counsel & Narrative:
Work with the Head of Sustainability and the PMO to build a strong narrative on key topics (sustainable materials, climate, circularity, human rights).
Media Relations & Influence:
Map key opinion leaders and lead Decathlon's speaking engagements at major global events.
Issues & Crisis Management:
Partner with Public Affairs to anticipate reputational risks and coordinate responses to external campaigns.
Management:
Lead and develop a team of 3 functional direct reports.
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience:
12+ years of relevant experience in media relations, crisis communication, or reputation management, preferably within a global organization.
Sustainability Expertise:
Deep understanding of climate change, circularity, and human rights issues within the retail or apparel industry.
Leadership:
Proven track record in advising senior leadership (C-Suite) and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Soft Skills:
Entrepreneurial spirit ("Vitality"), transparent communication ("Responsibility"), and the courage to challenge the status quo ("Authenticity").
Languages:
Fluent English is mandatory; intermediate to advanced French is preferred.
TECHNICAL STACK
Proficiency in reputation monitoring and crisis management tools. Collaborative tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Looker Studio).
