Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Programme Management professional

Captura Search is conducting this exclusive executive search on behalf of our institutional asset management client. They are looking for an experienced and motivated Enterprise Data Management (EDM) Programme Management professional to take responsibility for the multi-year project to deliver a new Data Management solution. He/she will lead and navigate the program to ensure risks and issues are owned, mitigated, and addressed. Such a role requires a combination of program management experience on top of deep data management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire program lifecycle including program value management and alignment of projects to client business values and objectives
• Manage complex multi-year EDM programs in APAC from a functional expert perspective. The complexity of an EDM program here refers to:
  • scope including the full enterprise eco system rather than a few dedicated departments,
  • upstream or downstream systems as within smaller scale EDM projects
  • context covering C-level steering committee, multiple-party contractual constructs, fixed commitments in a transformational process.
• Manage programme governance covering organization (internal / external stakeholders) and processes (program/project progress and assurance)
• Manage transformation including change management and business process adjustment
• Manage projects planning/resources/financials/stakeholders/dependencies/risks

Experience Preferred

• Master’s degree or equivalent
• 10+ years in data management with a strong business acumen (deep functional knowledge)
• Project management experience (successfully delivered large scale, fixed price programme’s)
• Preferably have working in either one of these two company types:
  • A FinTech vendor experience (product company background) with solutions such as
    • IHS Markit EDM (Cadis)
    • NeoXam DataHUB
    • Simcorp GAIN (AIM Software)
    • Asset Control
    • GoldenSource
    • BNY Mellon (Eagle Investment Systems – Data Management)
    • Smartstream (RDU – Reference Data Utility)
    • FIS (Data Management)
    • Finastra (Data Management)
    • Broadridge Systems (Data Management)
  • OR
  • A Management Consultancy specialized in delivering major EDM / MDM Projects
    • Excelian
    • Synpulse
    • Virtusa
    • Reformis
    • AlphaFMC
    • Pentagon Consulting
    • Elgin White
    • Accenture etc
• APAC business experience would be highly beneficial, but is not a pre-requisite
• Specific data program skills:
  • Putting a data strategy in place which is based on proven data management transition processes and best practice data and workflow experiences
  • Covering data governance framework and organization (user, stewards, owners, custodians) and data mastering/quality strategy
  • Adapting the data governance framework, taking into account the as-is and to-be data governance maturity
  • Knowledgeable on sizing, security, deployment concepts.

LOCATION

Please note that this position will be based in Singapore full time from January 2021. In 2020 the position will be based either in Singapore (If someone already lives there) or remotely if the individual lives elsewhere around the world. Captura’s client is willing to relocate the right professional to Singapore.
