Position
You will perform a key analytical and modeling role in aerodynamic design, performance prediction, and trajectory optimization for our weapons systems. Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will develop high-fidelity computational models to predict and optimize system behavior across flight profiles, ensuring alignment with program performance and mission requirements.
Responsibilities
- Learn OpenGL modeling, support, and maintain tools for telemetry visualization
- Learn Digital Terrain Elevation Data (DTED) processing to support development of terrain following, terrain avoidance, and terrain-matching navigation algorithms
- Help develop telemetry processing tools to support post-flight analysis
- Develop automated regression testing, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure code functionality and integrity.
- Assist engineering leadership in diagnosing performance issues, evaluating design trade-offs, and recommending optimizations.
- Prepare clear technical documentation, analysis summaries, charts, and presentations for internal reviews and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvements, trajectory tools, optimization algorithms, or workflow enhancements.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years C/C++ coding experience with an understanding of algorithms (sorting, lookup tables, interpolation).
- Bachelor’s degree in any Engineering discipline.
- Proficiency in 1) Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio, or other IDE, 2) Git, 3) C++ GUI development, and parsing command line parameters and 4) Mathematics – specifically algebra, trigonometry, and calculus
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain security clearance or background-screening requirements.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative, team-oriented environment.
