Google Cloud Engineer

About the Role

Insight Global is looking for a Google Cloud Engineer to join one of our largest financial clients in Jersey City, NJ or Pittsburgh, PA. This role will be required to sit onsite two to three times a week. They will be joining the Technology Services Group on the Public Cloud Engineering team. This team is currently working on advancing their cloud strategy within their environment and have three cloud providers within their current environment. Each cloud platform is at a different stage of being set up into the environment which is how it stands:

• Azure is very mature in their environment
• AWS is in conceptual phase
• GCP is ready to launch into production

This team is looking for a hands‑on engineer to come in and continue advancing GCP within their environment. This role involves designing, developing, and deploying cloud solutions with a focus on infrastructure as code, cloud migrations, and integration with security frameworks.

Requirements

• 6+ years of hands on experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its services
• Expertise of GCP networking, VPC networks, subnets, IAM, etc.
• Strong proficiency in Deployment Manager and Terraform to write code and automate cloud resource provisioning
• Hands‑on experience with GKE and container orchestration
• Use of Python or Java for scripting and automation
