Execute marketing strategies that support the acquisition and growth of federal, state, and local government contracts. This role focuses on identifying opportunities, positioning the organization competitively, and driving visibility within the public sector marketplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies specifically targeting government agencies and contracting opportunities
  • Research and identify upcoming government solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs) aligned with company capabilities
  • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to support capture strategies and proposal positioning
  • Create compelling marketing materials, capability statements, and past performance documentation
  • Manage and maintain company profiles on platforms such as SAM.gov, GovWin, and other procurement portals
  • Track industry trends, competitor activity, and government procurement forecasts
  • Support branding and outreach efforts aimed at contracting officers and agency decision-makers
  • Coordinate events, networking opportunities, and outreach campaigns within the government contracting space
  • Analyze marketing performance metrics and adjust strategies to improve win rates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing, preferably within government contracting or public sector environments
  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes (federal, state, or local)
  • Experience with proposal support, capture management, or business development is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear, persuasive messaging
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and government contracting tools (e.g., SAM.gov, GovWin, FPDS)

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation)
  • Experience marketing to specific agencies (e.g., DoD, DHS, VA, etc.)
  • Graphic design or content development experience for proposals and marketing collateral
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
