Lead and manage the group financial reporting process

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the group financial reporting process, including monthly, interim, and annual reporting cycles
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory, tax, and statutory reporting requirements
• Take ownership of technical accounting matters, including complex IFRS assessments and disclosures
• Manage the external audit process, acting as the primary liaison with auditors and ensuring timely resolution of queries
• Oversee the preparation and submission of tax calculations, returns, and related compliance requirements
• Deliver insightful financial analysis and commentary, including actual vs budget and variance analysis
• Coordinate and produce integrated and sustainability reports, working with cross-functional teams
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, governance frameworks, and reporting accuracy
• Drive improvements in financial reporting processes, systems, and efficiencies
• Partner with senior stakeholders across finance and the business to support strategic decision-making
• Mentor and support junior finance team members where applicable

Skills & Experience

• Qualified CA(SA)
• 4–5 years post-articles experience in finance/reporting
• Strong IFRS and financial reporting expertise
• Experience with tax compliance and audit management
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• High attention to detail, strong ethics, and a proactive mindset
