As part of our Growth team — The Storytellers and Amplifiers — you’ll help shape how the world sees Attention Arc by connecting our people, work, and values to the audiences who matter most. This team plays a critical role in the agency puzzle, turning reputation, relationships, and storytelling into engines for growth.
As the Growth Intern, you’ll be the operational backbone of our new business engine — the person who keeps pitches moving, deadlines met, and the right people connected at the right time. This internship is designed as a pathway to full-time employment, contingent upon successful performance and completion of the program. This is an opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves bringing structure to complexity, and wants exposure to senior agency leadership and high-impact business development work. You’ll work closely with our Supervisor of Growth and collaborate across departments to support new business development, marketing communications, and agency visibility initiatives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Pitch & Project Management
- Own end-to-end coordination for new business pitches, including timelines, deliverables, and RFP submission requirements
- Serve as the operational connector across leadership teams to ensure alignment throughout the pitch process
- Schedule and manage all pitch-related meetings, ensuring the right stakeholders are engaged and prepared
- Maintain organized communication and documentation across active workstreams so no detail gets missed
- Support go/no-go meetings, post-mortem discussions, and process improvements to strengthen future pitch performance
Business Development
- Research prospective clients, industries, and competitors to develop background profiles, personas, and strategic insights
- Support RFI and RFP development from initial intake through final submission
- Coordinate outbound prospecting initiatives, including thought leadership distribution, gifting programs, and awareness campaigns targeting consultants and key decision-makers
- Assist with pitch deck development, print production, and presentation logistics
- Help maintain organization and visibility across the agency’s pipeline of growth opportunities
- Write and edit marketing materials, including case studies, newsletters, and internal communications
- Support PR opportunities, consultant relationships, and industry partnership initiatives
- Organize and maintain marketing assets and agency collateral, including profiles, credentials decks, and sizzle materials
- Assist with HubSpot CRM updates, SEM support, and owned-channel marketing campaigns
- Support planning and execution for agency events and visibility initiatives
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
Experience & Technical Expertise
- 0–1 years of professional experience in marketing, communications, agency operations, project coordination, or related fields
- Internship or agency experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple timelines, priorities, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Strong written communication skills across formats, including social content, presentations, long-form writing, and client-facing materials
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Mac OS required
- Familiarity with HubSpot, Monday.com, Salesforce, Mailchimp, or related tools is a plus
- Basic Adobe Creative Suite or presentation design skills are appreciated but not required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required

The compensation for this role is $18 per hour.

LOCATION
We operate on a hybrid, in-office model designed to foster collaboration, mentorship, and hands-on learning. Employees are expected to work from the office three days per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) to fully experience the energy of our teams and build meaningful connections.
Candidates must reside in and be able to commute to Durham, North Carolina, three days a week.
