Role
Riptronix is seeking a self-starting team player to design and debug high-end cryptographic products. As a Hardware / PCB Design Engineer, you will own the design lifecycle for NSA Type 1 security products, working from initial architecture through 16+ layer HDI layout to final lab integration.
Core Qualifications
- EDA Expertise: Proficiency in Cadence Allegro/OrCAD.
- High-Speed Design: Experience with LVDS and HSS (up to 10 Gbps).
- Complexity: Expert knowledge of up to 16+ layer HDI designs and IPC Class 3 standards.
- Full Lifecycle Ownership: From part selection and schematic capture to vendor management and test/integration.
- Documentation: Ability to produce high-quality technical documentation for new designs.
Highly Desirable Experience
- NSA Type 1 Products: Exposure to IA security practices, verification testing, and certification.
- Secure Design: Familiarity with TEMPEST and RED/BLACK isolation.
- Embedded Tools: FPGA design (Xilinx Vivado), Python scripting, or GitLab.

Education/Experience
- Mid-Career: Seven (7) years of experience as a hardware design engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university or twelve (12) years of experience without a degree.
- Senior: Twelve (12) years of experience as hardware design engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering from an accredited college or university or seventeen (17) years of experience without a degree.
