Hardware Test Engineer

Role Summary

In this role, you are responsible for the configuration, setup and maintenance of HIL test-benches and ECUs used across multiple global testing locations. You support international testing teams and project stakeholders in ensuring test equipment availability and smooth testing operations. With your organized and proactive working style, you ensure timely and reliable delivery of test hardware-related tasks assigned to you in support of ECU testing activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, Configuration, setup and maintenance of automotive test benches with associated components
• Support test teams in addressing any hardware/software related issues they may be facing with their respective test equipment e.g. test racks, ECUs or other hardware components required for delivering valid and timely test results.
• Flashing of software updates on test racks and documentation
• Design custom engineering interfaces and hardware solutions for dedicated testing and measurement needs
• Logistics support for the execution of testcases by testers deployed across different geographies (Shipment of test equipment, ECUs, and project-related equipment.)
• Participate in regular alignment meetings to provide status updates and address support requests.
• Maintain an inventory of test equipment, ECUs and other components used in Telematics testing

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience of testing automotive ECUs and systems
• Hands-on Experience with automotive ECUs, test racks, and electronic components.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, ICLNext, and APLAUS is beneficial.
• Ability to understand and interpret hardware configurations and platform variants.
• Good knowledge of computer systems
• Experience with embedded systems is beneficial
• Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style.
• German: C1 and English: C1 are mandatory.
