Division Manager

About

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a Site/Civil team as a Division Manager and oversee multi-discipline site design projects on a full-time basis in either Raleigh or Charlotte, NC. This individual will play a key leadership role across a range of private and public site development projects throughout the region.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of engineers and designers
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Oversee all aspects of project delivery and serve as the primary client interface, including presentations to clients and municipalities as needed
• Prepare budgets, proposals, and support business development efforts
• Supervise and perform site development and design tasks including plan preparation, grading, permitting, and technical report writing
• Lead stormwater management design efforts, including Hydrologic and Hydraulic (H&H) modeling and Erosion & Sediment Control (E&SC) planning
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies and manage entitlement processes
• Assist with RFQ/RFP responses
• Mentor junior staff and support team development
• Provide quality control review of designs and reports
• Additional responsibilities as needed

Basic Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in North Carolina (or ability to obtain)
• Proven experience managing staff, clients, and projects
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with engineering design tools (AutoCAD Civil 3D strongly preferred)
• Experience with stormwater design and H&H modeling
• Familiarity with North Carolina permitting and regulatory processes
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and standard business tools
• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a big-picture perspective
• Collaborative team player with strong independent problem-solving skills
