Marketing Manager

Position Overview

Ballard Construction Company, a leading General Contractor/Construction Manager servicing the Mid-Atlantic region, is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager. Located in Virginia Beach, VA, this role is pivotal in developing year-long strategic marketing plans, executing campaigns, managing budgets, and leading a diverse team. The candidate will provide strategic leadership from both market and product perspectives while coordinating all aspects of the RFQ/RFP process.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the annual marketing plan and strategy, while strengthening the marketing team.
• Drive the implementation of marketing campaigns that align with business objectives.
• Assist with market research, data collection, analysis, and interpretation for short- and long-term forecasts.
• Manage the annual department budget and oversee the strategic pursuit lifecycle, including RFQ/RFP processes with narrative write-ups, reviews, and submissions.
• Collaborate with Operations and Business Development teams to craft impactful presentations and marketing collateral.
• Define key performance indicators and assess marketing campaign performance on a regular basis to optimize spend.
• Communicate effectively through in-person and on-the-phone interactions and lead multiple projects to full completion.
• Utilize expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite in daily operations.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in coordinating and managing all aspects of the RFQ/RFP process.
• Strong leadership with a hands-on approach in managing teams and projects.
• Excellent written documentation and proposal preparation skills.
• Expertise in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in an in-person, on-site environment with minimal reliance on telecommuting.
• Demonstrated experience with Military Pre-Quals, CM-at-Risk, and Pre Quals (State, Private, Federal) is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working knowledge of collaborative tools such as Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
