Our client, a prominent hospitality group, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Environmental Services to oversee all cleaning and sanitation operations at their flagship property in **Abuja, Federal Capital Territory, NG**. The Head of Environmental Services will be responsible for developing, implementing, and enforcing comprehensive cleaning protocols, managing budgets, and supervising a large team of cleaning staff. Responsibilities: Develop and implement comprehensive cleaning and sanitation programs for all areas of the facility. Manage, train, and supervise the environmental services team, ensuring adherence to schedules and standards. Oversee the procurement, storage, and efficient use of cleaning supplies, chemicals, and equipment. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and regulatory standards. Develop and manage the departmental budget, controlling costs without compromising quality. Implement waste management and recycling programs. Investigate and resolve guest or staff complaints related to cleanliness. Ensure proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials. Develop and deliver ongoing training programs for staff on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and equipment usage. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and special event requirements. Maintain detailed records of cleaning activities, inspections, and inventory. Stay abreast of new cleaning technologies, products, and industry best practices. Qualifications: Proven experience in managing cleaning and sanitation operations, preferably in hospitality or healthcare. Demonstrable knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and sanitation best practices. Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Proficiency in budget management and cost control. Understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
