About the role

Seen Nutrition is a high-growth bone health nutrition startup in the menopause market. Incorporated in 2023, Seen Nutrition develops food-based nutritional supplements to support women’s bone health. Seen Nutrition is a D2C eCommerce company, with the first in market calcium chew made exclusively from real foods.

Position Overview

Reporting directly to the co-CEOs, this person will both shape and execute our marketing strategy across a broad range of channels, with a particular focus on relationship-building. As our first marketing hire, this is an opportunity for a professional with several years of broad marketing and PR experience to take on meaningful ownership and impact from day one.

The role includes both outward-facing business development—building relationships with medical providers and other partners—and hands-on marketing execution across events, PR, and digital. You will be the person who figures out what works, builds the playbook, and executes it with the support of a strong core team.

Core Responsibilities

  • Comprehensive Integrated Campaigns: Design and execute holistic marketing strategies where earned media hits, paid social creative, and email flows work together to bring in measurable revenue and brand awareness.
  • Performance & Reporting: Track the total marketing budget and measure outcomes across all channels. You will own marketing KPIs (including ROAS, CAC, and LTV), translate data into actionable insights, and provide regular reports on progress and growth milestones to leadership.
  • Science-to-Consumer Translation: Partner with the co-CEOs and scientific advisors to translate complex bone-health data and clinical research into compelling, accessible, and compliant narratives for the modern woman.
  • Outward-Facing Business Development: Working with our Partnerships Manager, build and nurture high-impact relationships with healthcare providers, menopause specialists, and community partners to establish Seen Nutrition as the standard in food-based bone health.
  • D2C Subscription & E-Commerce Growth: Leverage D2C subscription experience to optimize the Shopify ecosystem, managing digital funnels and building the operational playbook for long-term customer retention.
  • Public Relations & Media Relations: Cultivate relationships with premier women’s health, wellness, and lifestyle publications to secure consistent earned editorial coverage and founder features, as well as paid placements.
  • Affiliate & Referral Strategy: Direct the expansion of our affiliate network and design a bespoke customer referral program tailored to the 40+ female demographic, focusing on high-trust, word-of-mouth acquisition.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with a proven record of delivering best-in-class work for DTC brands.
  • Sector Expertise: Experience in CPG and/or subscription businesses is required; a deep passion for health and wellness and a strong understanding of the modern DTC landscape are essential.
  • Strategic Execution: Proven experience in developing and executing Go-To-Market (GTM) strategies and new product launches.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, with the ability to identify interdependencies across functions and optimize processes for efficiency.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with Shopify, Klaviyo, and affiliate platforms; ability to translate data into actionable brand and product marketing strategies.
  • Location: Ability to work in Seen offices in Ithaca, NY is preferred, but we are open to remote arrangements for the right candidate.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary range: $85,000-$100,000
