Greentalent, recruiter specialized in search and selection of professionals and managers in the Energy, Engineering and Environment market, on behalf of a start-up which has developed an innovative proprietary technology for molecular recycling of plastic waste, is looking for a:
Head of Process Technology
The ideal candidate holds a university degree in Chemical Engineering and has a relevant experience in engineering companies, EPC contractors or licensors operating in the chemical industry.
The selected person will be placed in a dynamic environment and he/she will play a pivotal role within the Process Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise the engineering activities related to the industrialization of company’s chemical recycling process and its licensing to future customers (Process Design Package)
- Coordinate and manage the growth of company’s Process Engineering team
- Basic engineering (BFD, PFD, P&ID, H&MB, etc.) of chemical recycling plant, in particular for the company’s core depolymerization unit
- Supervision of activities for FEED by company’s licensees
- Management of relationships with key engineering stakeholders (EPC, Suppliers of key packaged units, end-users, etc.)
- Develop enhanced control processes and new operating procedures
- Support the CTO and Head of Business Development in defining the industrialization plan for the company
- Create and maintain knowledge of latest technologies and evaluate for use in current process and future processes
- Provide technical guidance during development, construction and start-up to enhance in-plant resource capabilities
- Supervision of erection, commissioning and start-up activities of the first industrial plants at customer's plant site
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical or Process Engineering
- 10-15 years of specific experience as Process Engineer in engineering companies operating in the chemical industry
- Fundamental understanding of chemistry and process engineering, to supervise the process of conceptual design and implementation of the company’s innovative process
- Practical Knowledge of P&ID design, control philosophy design, chemical process simulation (e.g. Aspen)
- Ability to supervise/lead individuals or a project team to achieve milestones and objectives by setting priorities and providing direction
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Availability to travel on national and international territory
- The profile is completed by characteristics of flexibility, resourcefulness and by relational and communicative skills.
