About the team and the role:
Join eBay’s Regulatory Initiative, where execution meets strategy! We lead the charge in developing, designing, and completing end-to-end customer solutions for significant new regulations impacting eBay and its sellers. Our distributed team works across various functions, including legal, tax, product, marketing, shipping, customer support, and government relations, to deliver solutions that balance regulation, customer needs, and business goals. In this role, you will own the delivery of a portfolio of high impact regulatory transformation programs from strategy to execution. By working closely with product, legal, communication, and operations teams, you will transform complex regulatory requirements into actionable programs, while ensuring a robust mitigation of risks for eBay and for our users.
What you will accomplish:
- Lead a highly motivated international team of regulatory program managers responsible for delivering eBay’s regulatory response across 27 EU countries.
- Own strategic regulatory programs within the European Union, ensuring effective execution and minimal disruption to customers and eBay’s operations.
- Build and implement scalable solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet evolving regulatory needs.
- Provide strong cross-functional leadership, keeping collaborators informed and engaged to co-create efficient solutions.
- Use data and market intelligence to build customer-centric solutions, optimizing impact and performance.
- Support the Director EU Regulatory in strategy definition and implementation.
What you will bring:
- 7 years of program/risk management leadership in corporate, tech, ecommerce, or consulting.
- Demonstrated capability to manage extensive, complex, cross-functional initiatives from strategy through implementation under high ambiguity
- Experience in making high stakes risk-based decisions under high uncertainty using established risk management and decision frameworks
- Experience managing senior collaborators globally, with the ability to align diverse teams.
- Proficiency in English; German is preferred but not required. Based in Berlin, Germany, with 10-20% travel encouraged.
