About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Sales to drive and develop our presence in France. You will be at the forefront of introducing Tandem's clinical copilot to healthcare facilities, partners, and care systems - shaping our development in one of Europe's most strategic healthcare markets.
This is a key role with a strong strategic and operational dimension, where you will be responsible for the commercial strategy and its execution in the French market. You will build and lead a high-performing sales organization while developing high-impact partnerships within the healthcare ecosystem.
From care networks and hospitals to EMR vendors, insurers, and strategic partners, you will be a market expert, trusted advisor, and commercial leader.
What you'll do
- Define and drive Tandem's commercial growth strategy in France, with full responsibility for pipeline development, revenue growth, and market expansion.
- Build, lead, and scale a high-performing sales team dedicated to healthcare and healthtech players in France.
- Develop and manage strategic executive-level relationships with hospitals, care groups, EMR vendors, insurers, digital health platforms, and key partners.
- Lead complex, end-to-end sales cycles, from prospecting to negotiation and closing, in close collaboration with legal, product, implementation, and management teams.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnership models, and commercial strategies to accelerate Tandem's adoption within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Represent Tandem at events, conferences, and strategic meetings, positioning the company as a leading partner in health AI.
- Provide feedback and market needs from the French market internally to inform product decisions, regulatory priorities, and local go-to-market strategy.
- Collaborate closely with product, operations, clinical, and customer success teams to ensure successful deployments and lasting partnerships.
- Contribute to Tandem's European development strategy as part of our international expansion.
What you bring
- Proven experience in managing sales teams in healthcare or healthtech, ideally within digital health, AI, SaaS, medtech, or health software companies.
- Excellent track record in closing complex deals within highly regulated healthcare environments.
- In-depth knowledge of the French healthcare system, including hospitals, care groups, insurers, public structures, and health IT procurement processes.
- Significant experience selling to healthcare facilities, hospital systems, EMR vendors, or clinical workflow platforms.
- Strong network within the French health and healthtech ecosystem, with a demonstrated ability to quickly build trusting relationships with high-level decision-makers.
- Experience managing long and complex sales cycles involving clinical, operational, technical, legal, and procurement stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate seamlessly between clinical, commercial, and technical discussions with senior stakeholders.
- Analytical and results-oriented approach, with experience in establishing scalable sales processes and driving performance.
- Proficiency in French and English, with excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and strong autonomy in high-growth environments.
- Passion for improving the healthcare system through concrete and useful technological innovations.
Bonus Points
- Experience collaborating directly with EMR vendors, hospital systems, or care platforms.
- Experience in AI, clinical documentation, ambient scribing, or medical workflow automation tools.
- Good knowledge of French and European health and compliance regulations.
- Experience launching or developing new markets within healthtech startups or scale-ups.
- Experience in recruiting, managing, and developing rapidly growing sales teams.
Location
We believe the best ideas emerge when we work together. This position is a full-time role based in Paris. You will be required to travel regularly - either to meet clinicians and healthcare partners across France, or to collaborate with our team in Stockholm.
