RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Sales and Marketing will be responsible for:
- Strategic Growth and Profitability: Creating and executing comprehensive sales and marketing plans to boost profitable sales, conducting in-depth sales analysis, and sharing actionable insights with the team.
- Management Team Leadership: As a member of the leadership team, you will collaborate to set the vision, strategy, and goals, and define the prioritized execution plan to achieve each. You will work alongside operations, sourcing, and warehouse managers, as well as ownership, to identify and mitigate risks and manage obstacles to drive profitable growth.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Playing an integral role on the management team, leading the sales team with a cross-functional mindset, ensuring consistency in processes, and managing order flow.
- Team Communication and Coordination: Leading weekly sales team meetings, maintaining regular communication, and coordinating timely distribution of sales leads to maximize team efficiency.
- Goal Setting and Performance Tracking: Establishing clear, measurable goals for the sales team, regularly tracking progress, and providing feedback to ensure alignment with company objectives, driving motivation and accountability for achieving targets.
- Team Building and Development: Recruiting, building, and developing a high performing sales and marketing team that drives growth by expanding the customer base and increasing sales.
- Coaching, Accountability, and Field Support: Providing hands-on coaching and mentorship to develop team members, establishing training programs and maintaining accountability for both team and individual goals. Traveling as needed to support team members in the field and attending trade shows to represent and promote the company.
- Marketing and Digital Presence: Collaborating with marketing professionals to drive marketing initiatives, ensuring an engaging and effective online presence.
- Data-Driven Marketing Insights: Overseeing the analysis of data to identify key advertising opportunities, measuring ROI across platforms, and using insights to elevate marketing effectiveness.
- Financial Planning and Budget Management: Developing and managing the sales and marketing budgets, forecasting financial needs, and allocating resources strategically to maximize ROI and profitability.
- CRM and Technology Optimization: Leveraging CRM tools to support team growth, implementing best practices, and identifying key features that drive sales performance.
** This is a hybrid position based in Seven Lakes, North Carolina, requiring domestic travel with 8-10 in-office days per month. **
