- You will inspire a team of experts to push the boundaries of software innovation.

- You will represent Potain in strategic forums (standards, expert committees, partnerships).
- You will have a direct impact on products used on the most demanding job sites in the world.
Your Mission: Combining Performance and Humanity
You will join a team of 15-20 multidisciplinary engineers and will have three levers of action:
1. Drive Technical Excellence with Agility
(You don't manage tasks, you create the conditions for the team to innovate.)
- Define the technical vision: Develop design frameworks (architecture, security, testing) for our embedded software with product stakeholders, integrating industry standards.
- Anticipate technological evolutions through proactive monitoring and partnerships.
- Ensure quality through adapted practices: Implement processes that balance innovation and compliance. Resolve critical issues (performance, reliability) in collaboration with technical leads and product teams.
- Support Agile transformation: Foster understanding and adoption of agile methodologies. Collaborate with other CoEs to disseminate best practices.
2. Develop Talents and Unite the Team
(You don't manage resources, you grow people.)
- Establish a culture of feedback and development.
- Support employees in their career progression.
- Identify and nurture future leaders.
- Promote autonomy and accountability.
- Ensure a balance between performance and well-being.
- Communicate with transparency: Transversally with other teams and managers. Translate strategic directions into concrete objectives.
3. Represent Manitowoc and Negotiate with Impact
(You don't sign contracts, you build strategic partnerships.)
- Defend the company's technical interests: Represent Potain in expert committees. Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms.
- Be the voice of the team: Escalate blockers (resources, budgets) to management with data-driven arguments. Celebrate successes internally and externally (e.g., technical articles, conferences).
Your Travel: Connecting Expertise
Regularly:
- Test centers (testing software on real cranes).
- Production sites (collaboration with hardware teams).
- Customer or supplier meetings in Europe.
Occasionally:
- Trade shows.
- Standards committees.
