Healthcare Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Healthcare Data Engineer with 12+ years of experience in building and managing scalable data solutions. This role focuses on designing and maintaining data pipelines, developing backend APIs, and leveraging AWS cloud services to support data-driven applications within the healthcare domain. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Python, PySpark, SQL, and AWS technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for efficient data ingestion, transformation, and processing
• Develop backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js with comprehensive unit testing
• Utilize AWS Lambda to build and manage serverless, event-driven workflows
• Implement and manage NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps and Data Science to deliver scalable data solutions
• Optimize data processing and storage for performance, scalability, and reliability
• (Optional) Design and deploy containerized applications using AWS EKS
• (Optional) Provision and manage AWS resources including EC2, S3, API Gateway, SQS, SES, and Pinpoint

Required Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering or related roles
• Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience designing and building data pipelines and data processing systems
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch
• Experience developing backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts and best practices
• Experience working in the healthcare domain

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with containerization and orchestration using AWS EKS
• Experience provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure services
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Experience working in cross-functional, Agile environments
