Your Role

The Opportunity

As a Manager, you will leverage advanced data science and machine learning techniques to analyze extensive claims, clinical, and member data. Your insights will be crucial in reducing healthcare costs and enhancing population health outcomes for our payer clients. This position offers the chance to lead teams, manage client accounts, and engage in innovative analytics projects that drive impactful solutions in healthcare.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Applying advanced data science and machine learning methodologies to vast datasets.
  • Generating actionable insights to optimize healthcare costs and improve health outcomes.
  • Leading and mentoring your team while managing client expectations and relationships.
  • Ensuring successful project execution with a focus on quality standards.
  • Collaborating with industry leaders to create innovative analytics solutions.
  • Presenting comprehensive findings to senior stakeholders, including Chief Actuaries.
  • Contributing to the development of new analytics products for payer strategies.
  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the team.

What You Must Have

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 6 years of experience in data science and machine learning

What Sets You Apart

  • Master's Degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Biotechnology preferred.
  • Experience in consulting or advisory firms is a plus.
  • Contributions to commercial analytics product development.
  • Familiarity with NCQA HEDIS specifications and CMS Star Ratings.
  • Knowledge of government payer programs, especially Medicaid.
  • Experience with natural language processing and unstructured clinical text.
  • Exposure to integrating social determinants of health data.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range for this position is: $99,000 - $232,000. Actual compensation will depend on skills, experience, and location. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. PwC offers a comprehensive range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, holiday pay, vacation, and personal sick leave.
