Job Summary

Due to the exponential growth and future projected growth of UK HealthCare, we are searching for an experienced professional to serve as a Healthcare Recruiter. This position will be key in finding talent for our world-class health system that reflects our values of innovation, respect, compassion, teamwork and diversity.
The Healthcare Recruiter will work with key stakeholders to develop and implement creative recruitment strategies to attract quality healthcare professionals for key positions throughout UK HealthCare. Recruitment strategies include direct outreach to potential candidates (e.g. emails, calls, etc.), leveraging social media tools and resources, and networking with professional associations. Building and maintaining high touch communication with identified talent and creating a candidate database of high potential/qualified individuals is a core function for this role.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Conduct phone screens and informational interviews to develop professional rapport with candidates while assessing candidate’s skill set and how it might best match UK HealthCare’s needs.
- Effectively promote the university’s total compensation, the University itself, and the Bluegrass region.
- Solicit feedback from applicants who accept/reject job offers to assess overall candidate experience and better understanding key deciding factors.
- Conduct market research to understand where external talent pools exist and strategize on how best to maximize our outreach efforts.
- Develop networking relationships with local, state, and national source agencies such as Chamber of Commerce, professional organizations, colleges/universities, as well as social media groups.
- Research and attend career fair opportunities that strategically meet the identified recruiting needs.
- Participate in recruitment events and represent UK HealthCare within the community.
- Cultivate community partnerships to promote healthcare job opportunities and create outreach programming based on hiring needs.
- Track all recruitment and outreach efforts and metrics.

Physical Requirements
The essential job functions of this position require: communicating effectively; building positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds; abiding by University guidelines; maintaining confidentiality; prioritizing and managing work effectively; providing exceptional customer service and positively representing the university; ensuring work is detailed, accurate, and completed in a timely manner; performing work in a sedentary position; reporting to meetings at different locations both on campus and off campus; traveling locally, regionally and nationally; interacting with individuals from various levels throughout the university; and working successfully with a team, as well as independently.
Shift
Primarily days, with core hours from 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday-Friday. Weekend and evening hours may be required as workload demands.
