Data Quality Engineer (Data QE)

Introduction

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Engineer to join our team for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ETL Testing, Data Testing, and working with GCP Cloud and BigQuery. This role is essential for ensuring the integrity and quality of our data systems.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–10 years of overall IT experience
• 3–4 years of experience specifically in Data Testing / Data Quality Engineering
• Strong experience with ETL and Database Testing
• Hands-on experience in Data Migration and Report Validation
• Expertise in GCP BigQuery, including writing and executing complex SQL queries
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark
• Experience testing Big Data environments
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Strong background in Big Data QA/QE
• Passion for Property & Casualty (PC) Insurance domain
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile testing model

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Act as a Big Data Quality Engineer supporting multiple data testing initiatives
• Design, develop, and execute test cases for Big Data and ETL pipelines
• Perform ETL testing, database testing, data migration validation, and report validation
• Write and execute BigQuery SQL queries and analyze results for data accuracy and completeness
• Assist in building and implementing high-quality test strategies aligned with design specifications, standards, and user requirements
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
• Validate data across systems to ensure integrity, consistency, and compliance with requirements
