Recruiter

A corporate firm in Somerset West, Western Cape requires a Recruiter to manage payroll for several hundred employees. Duties include processing monthly payroll accurately, ensuring tax and statutory compliance, handling garnishee orders, and preparing reports for management and auditors. Experience with payroll software and SARS requirements is essential.

Responsibilities

• Support organisational change initiatives including restructuring, succession planning, and culture transformation programmes.
• Prepare and submit statutory reports including Employment Equity Reports, Skills Development Levy claims, and Workplace Skills Plans.
• Coordinate training and development activities including identifying needs, sourcing providers, and evaluating effectiveness.
• Coordinate onboarding and induction of new employees, ensuring documentation is complete and integration is smooth.
• Administer employee benefits including medical aid, pension funds, group life assurance, and wellness programmes.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of South African labour legislation including the LRA, BCEA, and Employment Equity Act.
• A minimum of two to five years of progressive experience in a generalist or specialist HR role within an organisation.
• A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative HR team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, particularly when processing payroll and maintaining employee records.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

Certificate in Payroll Administration or Sage VIP Certification
