Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chief Engineer, based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Chief Engineer will oversee daily maintenance operations, including managing all aspects of engineering, building systems, and utilities across the hotel and resort. This individual will lead a team to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with industry standards and local regulations. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the infrastructure supports the comfort and enjoyment of our guests.

Qualifications

• Strong technical skills in areas such as mechanical engineering, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and plumbing
• Proficiency in facilities management, preventive maintenance planning, and equipment troubleshooting
• Team leadership, organizational, and project management skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards in the construction or hospitality industry
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams
• Proficiency in using maintenance software and computer systems
• Experience in energy efficiency and eco-friendly practices is a plus
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
