Housing Project Sign-Off Engineer (P.Eng.)

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Housing Project Sign-Off Engineer (P.Eng.) to review, certify, and provide final engineering sign-off for residential housing projects across Ontario. This is a fully remote position, ideal for an experienced engineer looking for flexible, high-impact work in the housing sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, and civil design packages for residential projects
• Provide professional engineering sign-off in compliance with Ontario regulations
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and municipal requirements
• Coordinate with architects, designers, and project stakeholders
• Identify risks, deficiencies, and compliance issues prior to approval
• Stamp and seal drawings as required under Ontario regulations
• Maintain proper documentation and professional records

Qualifications & Requirements

• Active P.Eng. designation with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO)
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential / housing projects
• Strong understanding of the Ontario Building Code (OBC)
• Experience with low-rise and/or mid-rise residential developments
• Ability to independently review and certify engineering documents
• Strong attention to detail and professional accountability
• Excellent communication skills for remote coordination

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-unit residential or mixed-use developments
• Familiarity with municipal approval processes across Ontario
• Previous experience in design review, compliance, or consulting roles
