The HRIS Business Analyst plays a central role in the deployment and maintenance of our firm's human resources platform. Acting as a bridge between HR, business partners, and the project team, this position ensures that organizational workflows and requirements are effectively represented in system configuration and functionality. The analyst helps maintain a reliable, secure, and scalable Business Administration Services environment aligned with organizational goals.

KEY DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS

  • Operate as a system Super User, offering direct assistance, guidance, and expertise to users before, during, and after go live.
  • Partner with HR and business teams to collect, document, and validate functional requirements.
  • Convert business objectives into detailed functional specifications and use cases.
  • Contribute to process analysis, gap identification, and solution design activities.
  • Ensure business processes are consistently supported by system capabilities.
  • Serve as a functional subject-matter resource across all relevant HRIS modules.
  • Work closely with module leads and subject experts to support deeper functional insights.
  • Validate configuration decisions and confirm that system behavior reflects documented requirements.
  • Support data-related activities including validation, migration preparation, and integration coordination.
  • Create and run test scenarios, data sets, and scripts across all testing phases.
  • Lead or support planning and execution of user acceptance testing efforts.
  • Identify issues, document findings, and partner with technical resources to resolve them.
  • Conduct functionality checks prior to system releases or deployments.
  • Serve as the primary resource for end-user inquiries and troubleshooting.
  • Build comprehensive knowledge of all in-scope HRIS functionality.
  • Assist with training asset creation and deliver user training as needed.
  • Provide elevated post-launch support to ensure a stable transition.
  • Identify areas where system improvements or new capabilities may add value.
  • Participate in system updates, enhancements, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Maintain updated documentation including process workflows, job aids, and user materials.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Two to five years of experience in business analysis, HR technology, or HRIS implementation/support.
  • Practical experience with cloud-based HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM Cloud).
  • Strong understanding of HR processes, data models, and functional interdependencies.
  • Background in leading or coordinating UAT activities and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience supporting HRIS deployments, enhancements, or serving as a functional expert in a production environment.
  • Familiarity with Agile or hybrid project delivery methods.
  • Experience with data migration, reporting, or system integrations.
  • Demonstrated ability to gather and document detailed requirements.
  • Hands-on experience providing functional support, training, and user assistance.
  • Knowledge of testing cycles, quality assurance practices, and defect tracking.
