About the role

One of our long time clients is looking for a confident, consultative, driven and results oriented HRBP. This role will be working very closely with senior leadership in business planning, talent, emplyee relations, OD, and critical business decisions.

As a Human Resources Business Partner, you will contribute to the overall success of Human Resources activities ensuring goals, programs and initiatives are delivered to support the overall objectives of the business. The Human Resources Business Partner reports to the Director, Human Resources and delivers strategic talent initiatives by building relationships with key stakeholders within the business. The role provides HR advice and expert counsel to senior management and team members to help meet their business needs. You will also be a key contributor to our HR annual programs and lead varying projects and initiatives.

What you should expect:

Develop, implement and manage OD strategies that support the company's business strategy, specifically in the areas of: • Talent & leadership • Organizational capability & effectiveness • Attracting & retaining the best talent • Career development • Succession planning/talent pool management • Internal communications • Employment brand • Organizational measurement (including engagement surveys, pulse surveys) • Providing support, direction, and guidance to various managers in the area of team effectiveness, people leadership, and employee development • Driving employee engagement, leading change, and aligning people practices with desired culture • Working closely with HR Generalist to ensure that programs are aligned to deliver outstanding business results • Facilitation and training delivery • Serve as a change agent for HR Team, People Leaders, and Employees as it relates to the company's HR Transformation (i.e. HR Excellence).

What you should bring: • HR professional with 5+ years of experience, providing counsel and guidance to Business Leaders on HR related matters, and a proven track record in OD/Talent Management • Bachelor/Master's degree (CHRP is an asset) • Strong business acumen and knowledge of leading-edge HR practices • Strong innovative thinking and project planning skills • Well-developed thought leadership and collaboration skills • Experience in developing internal & external communication plans • Experience in attracting, developing and engaging talent • Demonstrate confidence, leadership, and initiative • Ability to be resourceful in problem solving • Demonstrated ability to operate in a matrix organization, simultaneously supporting and collaborating with your client groups (Cambridge, Oshawa & Head Office)
