Humans of HR is partnering with our client to find an experienced HR Director to join their growing organization.

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing HR strategy and operations across North America., with a strong focus on building scalable processes, supporting leadership, and driving a high-performing people function.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership on organizational design, workforce planning, and people strategy
• Oversee HR operations across multiple regions, ensuring compliance and consistency
• Lead employee relations, including complex investigations and performance matters
• Build and implement core HR processes (performance management, policies, employee lifecycle)
• Support HRIS optimization and continuous improvement initiatives
• Lead, mentor, and develop a small HR team
• Drive talent and organizational development initiatives

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership exposure
• Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law; U.S. exposure is an asset
• Hands-on experience with UKG (HRIS) is required
• Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
