Job Overview
The HR Generalist & Recruiter is a dual-focused role responsible for managing end-to-end recruiting activities while supporting core human resources functions across the employee lifecycle.
Duties
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and develop effective recruitment strategies
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct outreach
- Coordinate interviews, and provide candidate experience support
- Track recruiting metrics
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure a smooth employee experience
- Maintain employee records and ensure data integrity within Sage and recruiting systems
- Manages all pre/post hiring activities including but not limited to documentation of candidate outreach efforts, participation in career fairs, phone screens, coordinating/conducting interviews, on-boarding, notification process, background investigations, drug screening, I-9 verification, medical exams, DOT requirements, safety/training, reference checks and administers employee referral program
- Tracks status of candidates in ATS/job boards and responds with follow up letters/communication at the end of the recruiting process
- Dispositions candidates in ATS
- Greet interviewees and assist them through online application process
- Ensure proper completion of new hires and their data into Sage system
- Verifies I-9 documentation, processes EVerify and maintains records are current
- Input employee status changes into Sage system
- Creates and maintains personnel files, i.e., document imaging requirements / compliance / retention
- Maintains DOT compliance / records retention and review
- Provides employment verification to third parties as requested, both written and orally
- Completes state unemployment claims and attends hearings as necessary
- Reports new hires to appropriate states
- Uploads 401k deferrals to Transamerica
- Engage with employees and responds appropriately to Human Resources inquiries
- Performs all other duties as assigned, verbally or in written form
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in HR, recruiting, or a blended HR role
- Experience managing full-cycle recruiting for multiple roles
- Proficiency with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to quickly gain new skills and knowledge and work independently
- Maintains confidentiality
- Ability to answer questions and be available to other employees
- Excellent customer service skills. dependability and consistency are essential
- Detail-oriented, conscientious individual with excellent documentation skills
- Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills are necessary
- Consistently meets deadlines, follows up, and effectively uses time
- Be a team player, customer-oriented and cool-tempered
- Flexibility to accommodate after-hours and weekend working hours as necessary

Pay
$70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
