Project Manager/Estimator

About

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Estimator/Project Manager to support both pre-construction and project execution. This role combines technical estimating expertise with hands-on project leadership to ensure accurate bids, successful delivery, and strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Estimating

• Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed HVAC cost estimates
• Perform material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor take-offs
• Solicit, analyze, and compare vendor and subcontractor proposals
• Prepare and submit competitive bids and proposal packages
• Identify value engineering options that reduce cost without compromising quality
• Maintain and update estimating databases and historical cost records

Project Management

• Manage HVAC projects from award through closeout
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and milestones
• Coordinate with clients, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontracted work
• Track progress, costs, and change orders to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements, codes, and safety standards
• Conduct site visits and participate in project meetings
• Troubleshoot project challenges and proactively mitigate risks

Financial & Administrative

• Monitor job costs, profitability, and financial performance
• Prepare and review RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Support billing, invoicing, and project reporting
• Maintain accurate project documentation and records

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• 3-7+ years of experience in HVAC estimating and/or project management
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, installation practices, and industry standards
• Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., FastPIPE, Trimble, Bluebeam)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Excellent organizational, communication, and negotiation skills
• Valid driver's license
