IAM Project Manager

Role Descriptions

Lead end-to-end delivery of IAM programs and projects, including IAM modernization, IGA (SailPoint), CIAM (Okta, Ping, ForgeRock, Azure AD B2C), PAM (CyberArk).

Own project planning, scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.

Define project charters, roadmaps, milestones, and success metrics.

Coordinate with Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, Application, Compliance, and Vendor teams.

Manage dependencies across IAM, network, application, and data teams.

Track and report project status, risks, issues, and financials to senior leadership.

Ensure IAM solutions align with enterprise security architecture and Zero Trust strategy.

Drive requirements gathering, design reviews, UAT, production cutovers, and hypercare.

Manage vendor engagements, SOWs, licensing, and delivery commitments.

Ensure audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements are met (SOX, ISO, GDPR, SOC).

Facilitate executive-level communication, steering committees, and stakeholder reviews.

Promote standardized IAM delivery processes and best practices.

Support change management, training, and operational handoff.

Essential Skills

IAM Security Knowledge

• Strong understanding of IAM concepts: Authentication, Authorization, SSO, MFA, Federation, IGA, CIAM, PAM.
• Experience delivering IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Okta, CyberArk, Azure AD Entra ID, Ping Identity.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust and least-privilege principles.

Project Management Expertise

• Proven experience managing large, complex security or IAM programs.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies: Agile, Scrum, SAFe, Waterfall, Hybrid.
• Experience managing cross-geo and offshore teams.
• Strong risk, dependency, and issue management skills.

Tools Reporting

• Experience with project tracking tools (Jira, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet).
• Strong documentation and governance skills.
• Financial and budget management experience.

Experience

• 8 years of IT project/program management experience.
• 5 years delivering IAM, cybersecurity, or infrastructure initiatives.
• Experience working in regulated, enterprise-scale environments.
• Demonstrated success delivering multi-million dollar programs (preferred).

Certifications (Preferred)

• PMP, PgMP, or PRINCE2.
• Agile SAFe certifications.
• IAM or Security certifications (CISSP, CISM nice to have).
