The Direktion für Arbeit des SECO is part of the federal competence center for all core issues of labor market policy and unemployment insurance. The Service Area Labor Market/Unemployment Insurance (ALV) is responsible for the Unemployment Insurance Act as the clearing office of the ALV fund. As part of the IT department, the Application Services Datawarehouse group contributes to the monthly production of the official labor market statistics for Switzerland, provides tools for the efficient and effective management and control of decentralized implementation, as well as management support tools for the clearing office and the implementation bodies, and is responsible for over a dozen extensive data and analytics applications.
