The State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is the federal government's center of excellence for all core issues of economic and labor market policy and belongs to the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research (EAER). It promotes international market opening for goods, services, and investments. To reduce poverty, SECO is involved in economic development cooperation. It plans economic and trade policy measures for the benefit of developing countries, Eastern European and Central Asian countries, and the new member states of the European Union (EU).

Responsibilities

• Lead for requirements gathering from service and business process owners and derive use case-optimized data models
• Lead engineering for the piloting and new build of the new Data & Analytics Platform
• Lead in designing, developing, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines
• Responsible for and optimizing data preparation processes and data repositories regarding performance, reliability, and resource efficiency
• Responsible for and automating the collection of data quality characteristics and developing suggestions for improving data quality

Profile

• Completed degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Informatics, or comparable qualification (HF / Bachelor/Master)
• ITIL certification
• HERMES certification is an advantage
• Several years of experience with Data Engineering
• IT knowledge in the area of Open Source and technologies in the Apache Project
• Independent work, high personal responsibility, good analytical and conceptual skills; assertiveness, networked thinking, and high performance motivation
• Very good logical-abstract and analytical thinking skills as well as a quick grasp
• Good active knowledge of two official languages in spoken and written form as well as good English skills
