Role

In this role, you will ensure the stable operation and continuous development of complex network environments, thereby ensuring a highly available, performant, and secure IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of the entire network infrastructure, including LAN, WLAN, WAN, and perimeter, as well as the implementation of changes and maintenance windows. You will plan, develop, and implement modern network and security concepts such as segmentation and zone concepts, site-to-site VPN, wireless design, and firewall policies. You will also independently lead technical projects from analysis through design to rollout, take over 3rd-level troubleshooting, and ensure clean monitoring and robust documentation. In close cooperation with adjacent infrastructure and application teams, you will continuously observe new technologies and contribute innovative solution approaches to the further development of the network and security landscape.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for operation, maintenance, and further development of the entire network infrastructure (LAN, WLAN, WAN, Perimeter) based on HPE Aruba and FortiGate
• You reliably ensure a highly available, performant, and secure network environment for 24/7 hospital operations
• You consistently plan and implement new network and security concepts such as zone and segmentation concepts, site-to-site VPN, wireless designs, and firewall policies
• You also support in 3rd-level troubleshooting, monitoring, and maintaining up-to-date and robust documentation

Qualifications

• Completed vocational training in IT (EFZ, HF/FH or comparable) and several years of experience in an enterprise network environment
• In-depth knowledge of FortiGate firewalls and HPE Aruba Switching & Wireless; certifications such as NSE4, ACMA/ACMP or ACSA/ACSP are advantageous
• Very good knowledge of switching, routing, WLAN architectures, VLAN design, VPN, as well as firewalling and perimeter security
• Flawless German, both written and spoken
