ICT Solutions Engineer

Your Tasks

As an ICT Solutions Engineer, you will work closely with our Customer Care and Professional Services teams.

• Troubleshooting, problem analysis, development of proposals for workarounds and bug fixes, best practice guides and similar for the Professional Service and Customer Care organization
• Support of the Professional Service teams in preparation, configuration and deployment of more complex Ascom solutions, server installations and services
• Testing of SW releases, functional testing of bug and hotfixes, product and system testing for quality assurance
• Tracking of product and SW issues in cooperation with 3rd level support and global development
• Creation of internal technical documentation and best practice guides
• Instruction and training of colleagues in Ascom solutions
• Provision of expert input for the technical development of products, solutions and services
• Supportive participation in presales, such as test installations, trial setups or customer-specific solutions and adaptations

Your Profile

• Successfully completed studies or a comparable vocational training in the field of telematics, electrical engineering, telecommunications or IT with sufficient professional experience
• Demonstrable experience with complex solutions in the industrial and healthcare sectors (preferably ICT solutions or similar)
• Sound knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP and SIP, as well as an understanding of WiFi (IEEE 802.11)
• Experience in network traffic analysis with tools such as Wireshark
• Good knowledge in error analysis, quality assurance and issue management
• Experience in handling ticket systems (Jira) and quality assurance processes
• High affinity in the field of IT and ICT or comparable systems
• Good knowledge of Windows Server and virtualization solutions are an advantage
• Very good communication skills as well as the ability to inspire and impart knowledge
• Independent, conceptual and solution-oriented way of working
