Role Overview
Our client is seeking a driven and results-oriented In-House Recruitment Consultant
with 2–3 years of recruitment experience, preferably within the construction or
residential property sector.
The successful candidate will manage the full recruitment lifecycle for internal
residential construction roles, including sourcing, screening, and placing qualified
professionals to support ongoing development projects.
This role requires strong industry knowledge, stakeholder management skills, and the
ability to operate in a performance-driven environment.
Minimum Requirements • 2–3 years’ recruitment experience • Proven experience placing candidates within the construction industry • Experience recruiting for residential property or building projects (advantageous) • Strong understanding of construction roles and hiring trends • Proven track record of successful placements • Excellent communication and negotiation skills • Ability to work in a target-driven environment • Own transport (advantageous)
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition • Source, screen, and interview candidates for construction roles such as:
o Site Managers
o Foremen
o Engineers
o Artisans
o Project Managers
o Quantity Surveyors • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to placement • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified construction professionals • Conduct reference checks and candidate assessments • Ensure eƯicient turnaround times for recruitment requirements
Internal Client Management • Work closely with project managers and department heads to understand hiring • requirements • Provide strategic recruitment solutions aligned with project timelines • Draft and publish job advertisements across recruitment platforms • Manage candidate communications and oƯer negotiations
Administration & Reporting • Maintain accurate recruitment records and candidate databases • Track recruitment performance metrics and placement statistics • Provide regular hiring progress updates to management • Ensure recruitment processes align with company policies and standards
Performance Incentive Structure
The Recruitment Consultant will receive a placement incentive of R5,000 for each
successful candidate appointment, payable once the candidate has accepted the offer
and commenced employment.
This structure rewards eƯicient sourcing, quality placements, and consistent delivery
against hiring requirements.
