In-house VAT Accountant - temp or perm - UK/ France remote working

A great in-house role for a VAT specialist with strong reporting skills. This international group seeks an indirect tax hire. Working for this global group you will: • Review of intrastat reports and VAT returns for approx. 25 entities, this team file around 85 reports per month, although some are reviewed by local controllers. Returns are prepared by a Big 4 firm the VAT accountant reviews, comments, and then agrees they can be sent for approval. • Assisting customer service with ticket resolution for VAT queries • Assisting with queries for import and export queries (mainly into UK) • VAT Balances sheet overviews – completed by others by the Indirect Tax Team control and review • General support to Indirect Tax Team Ideally you will have: Knowledge of SAP Knowledge of Vertex helpful but not essential Good excel skills Would consider a permanent hire or a 6 month contract - can be remote worked from the UK or France with some travel to Manchester. Would consider a full time or part time hire. This is a fast paced business where you will need a commercial brain with the ability to spot material mistakes and deal with them e.g. strong reviewing skills.
