Role Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot monitoring systems for Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Create and maintain data pipelines for efficient and reliable data collection, processing, and storage.
- Design and implement industrial data acquisition workflows for BESS, including hardware selection, communication protocols, and data processing.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design hybrid, cloud, and on‑premises data architecture for BESS.
- Select appropriate technologies for different customer use cases, ensuring system security and scalability.
- Manage technical meetings, draft reports, and coordinate tests for model parameterization and characterization.
- Work with BESS stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in current techniques.
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and implementing data acquisition systems, data pipelines, cloud and on‑premises architecture, and monitoring systems.
- Strong experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, and SQL.
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT protocols such as Modbus, OPC‑UA, Profibus, Profinet, and MQTT, and message brokers like Kafka.
- Familiarity with data storage technologies including SQL and NoSQL databases, data lakes, data buckets, and data warehouses like Snowflake.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Linux operating systems and command‑line interface.
- Ability to design and develop end‑to‑end edge compute solutions using AWS IoT Greengrass, AWS SiteWise, or Azure IoT Gateway Solutions.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
