Industrial / Product Designer

About the Role

In this role with Constraal, as an Industrial/Product Designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing products that combine aesthetics with functionality to align with the company's vision of human-centered, adaptive technology. Your duties will include ideating and sketching product concepts, prototyping, incorporating design thinking practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like engineering and robotics specialists. Additionally, you will conduct research to comprehend user behaviors, needs, and preferences to ensure that the products meet users' expectations effectively.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Visual Design and Product Design
• Experience with Design Thinking methodologies and User Research
• Proficiency in UX Research to inform and refine design solutions
• Creative problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
• Proficiency in design tools and prototyping software
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for effective feedback
• Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or related field
• Prior experience in designing products for robotics, smart home systems, or consumer appliances is a plus
• Proven experience in designing physical products that have been manufactured and shipped
• Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) principles
• Experience working with factories and suppliers
• Proficiency in CAD software and 3D modeling tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and execution mindset
