Project Scope
We are seeking a Senior Healthcare IT Project Manager to lead an INFINITT imaging system implementation within a hospital environment. This role will oversee the project from planning through go-live, stabilization, and long-term optimization, ensuring alignment across clinical, operational, and technical teams.
Position Summary
The Senior IT Project Manager will be responsible for leading the full lifecycle of an INFINITT implementation, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing vendors and consultants, and ensuring project success. While not a hands-on build role, this individual must have a strong understanding of imaging workflows, PACS environments, and healthcare IT implementations to effectively guide decisions, manage risks, and drive accountability. This role is expected to transition into a long-term leadership position following successful completion of the initial contract period.
Key Responsibilities • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of the INFINITT implementation project. • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies. • Coordinate activities across hospital leadership, IT, radiology/imaging teams, operational stakeholders, vendors, and consultants. • Facilitate project meetings, status updates, steering committees, and executive communications. • Track deliverables, issues, risks, decisions, and action items. • Partner with technical build resources to ensure alignment on workflow design, testing, and implementation activities. • Oversee all project phases including planning, discovery, design, build oversight, testing, training, go-live, stabilization, and optimization. • Identify and proactively manage risks, barriers, and resource constraints. • Coordinate user acceptance testing, training plans, communication strategies, and go-live readiness activities. • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained. • Provide ongoing ownership of the solution post-implementation, including optimization and future enhancements. • Support long-term adoption, operational success, and transition into permanent ownership of the initiative.
Qualifications • 5+ years of healthcare IT project management experience. • 2+ years of experience managing imaging, PACS, radiology, or INFINITT-related projects. • Strong understanding of healthcare imaging workflows and implementation methodologies. • Experience leading projects within a hospital or health system environment. • Proven experience managing vendor-led or consultant-supported implementations. • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills. • Experience managing project plans, timelines, risks, and executive reporting. • Ability to coordinate both technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple departments. • Ability to work onsite in PA per hybrid requirements.
Preferred Qualifications • Experience with INFINITT implementations or enterprise imaging solutions. • Background working with radiology, cardiology, PACS, or imaging departments. • Familiarity with HL7, DICOM, and imaging system integrations. • Experience in community or rural hospital environments. • PMP or equivalent project management certification. • Experience transitioning projects from implementation into long-term operations and support.
