Information Security Analyst - SOC Operations

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking an experienced Information Security Analyst to join their Security Operations Center (SOC). This role is critical in protecting the organization's digital assets against cyber threats. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, investigating, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat intelligence, and incident response procedures.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools. Analyze security incidents to determine scope, impact, and root cause. Perform threat hunting and vulnerability assessments. Develop and implement security policies and procedures. Respond to security breaches and coordinate incident response activities. Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies. Conduct security awareness training for employees. Manage and maintain security tools and technologies. Generate regular reports on security posture and incident trends. Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls and remediation measures. Participate in security audits and compliance activities. Provide technical expertise and guidance on security matters. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security, particularly in a SOC or incident response role. Proficiency with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, ArcSight). Strong understanding of network security, endpoint security, and cloud security. Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Nessus, Qualys). Knowledge of threat intelligence platforms and frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK). Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ are highly desirable. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions during security incidents. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
