Our client, a prominent global technology firm, is actively seeking a highly proficient Information Security Engineer to join their established, fully remote cybersecurity division. This position is crucial for designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions that protect our client's extensive digital infrastructure and sensitive data. You will be at the forefront of threat mitigation, vulnerability management, and ensuring the overall security posture of the organization. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, VPNs, and endpoint protection solutions. Develop and implement security automation scripts and tools to streamline security operations and incident response. Conduct regular security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security weaknesses. Develop and refine security architecture, ensuring it aligns with business objectives and industry best practices. Investigate security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to integrate security controls into cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises systems. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security systems, policies, and procedures. Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends, and provide recommendations for improvement. Participate in security architecture reviews and provide expert guidance on security best practices. Develop and deliver security awareness training materials for technical staff. Manage security vendor relationships and evaluate new security technologies. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in information security engineering, with a focus on infrastructure security and operations. Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and managing security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and cloud security solutions. Strong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation purposes. In-depth knowledge of network security principles, protocols, and best practices. Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container security is highly desirable. Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, GIAC, CCSP, or cloud security certifications are a significant advantage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a strategic approach to security challenges. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork. Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage complex projects with minimal supervision.
