Job Description

Reporting to the Director if Operations & Director of IT, the IT Manager will lead and oversee several critical IT functions across LOC Medical and the broader LOC Group. This role combines hands-on technical leadership, project deployment oversight, customer-facing solution support, and internal IT management responsibilities. The successful candidate will act as both a technical leader and operational partner, helping support deployed customer environments while also ensuring the internal IT needs of the organization are maintained and improved. This role will primarily operate out of the Ontario office in Cambridge, while also supporting on-site work within customer healthcare facilities and other LOC Group locations as required.

Key Responsibilities

IT Operational Support (LOC Medical)

• Lead and manage ongoing support (including managing IT Support resources) for deployed customer infrastructure, platforms, and IT environments, including:
  • Cloud-hosted and on-premise servers
  • Network infrastructure, including firewalls and switches
  • Cybersecurity patching and system maintenance
  • Monitoring and device management platforms (SOTI, etc.)
  • IT policy implementation, auditing, and enforcement
  • Troubleshooting escalated technical issues

IT Solutions & Deployment (LOC Medical)

• Manage and support the deployment of customer-facing technology solutions, including:
  • Procurement, testing, staging, and deployment of hardware
  • Configuration and installation of servers, switches, and firewalls
  • Solution implementation within hospital environments
  • Customer system integrations and technical coordination
  • Troubleshooting deployment-related technical issues
  • Supporting deployment documentation and standards
  • Working closely with Operations, Development, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful project delivery

Internal IT Management (LOC Group)

• Lead and coordinate internal IT functions (through coordination with 3rd party management company, WebTek) across the broader LOC Group organization, including:
  • Microsoft 365 administration and support
  • Employee device management (laptop, cellphones, etc.)
  • IT vendor coordination and management
  • Cybersecurity best practices and policy enforcement
  • Internal user support and escalated troubleshooting

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, systems support, networking, or related technical roles
• Previous experience managing or leading IT-related projects and deployments
• Strong understanding of: Servers and virtualization, Networking infrastructure, Firewalls and switches, Cloud platforms and Microsoft 365
• Experience working in customer-facing technical environments
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities (bilingual in English & French will be considered an asset)
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving skills, time management, and multi-tasking capabilities
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively across departments
• Experience within healthcare or hospitality environments is considered an asset
• As LOC Medical operates within the healthcare field, and this role will involve work within healthcare facilities, the successful candidate will be required to: Successfully pass a criminal background check and provide proof of vaccinations if required by healthcare facilities

Compensation

• Salary: $70,000 – $90,000/year.
• Annual Bonus: Up to 5% of annual salary.
• Company Benefits on Day 1.
• 15-paid vacation days.
• Mileage and travel expenses for offsite / out of office work as / if required.
