About the role
For a major enterprise transformation project in the financial services industry, we are looking for an experienced ICT Project Manager.
Contract duration: 12 months Start date: ASAP Location: Zurich Remote ratio: approx. 20%
Role Overview
In this strategic leadership role, you will drive a large-scale enterprise transformation reshaping the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across the organization. You will act as the key connector between business and technology, leading cross-functional international teams and enabling the transition toward modern, AI-enabled software engineering practices.

Your Responsibilities:
- Lead a major transformational program (CHF 15M+) to harmonize and modernize the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) across the enterprise
- Orchestrate cross-functional teams across engineering, architecture, security, risk, compliance, operations, and data/AI functions across multiple locations
- Drive executive stakeholder management and actively contribute to governance forums and steering committees
- Define and support adoption of modern engineering standards and AI-readiness in collaboration with organizational change leads
- Create momentum and engagement through structured communication, branding, and transformation events
- Own end-to-end project governance including scope, budget, timeline, risks, dependencies, and reporting
- Ensure delivery of measurable outcomes such as improved time-to-market, quality, and system resilience
- Support organizational change and transition toward modern SDLC practices (Agile, DevSecOps, CI/CD, SAFe)
Your Profile:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, IT, Engineering, or a related field
- Certifications required: PRINCE2, PMP, or IPMA
- 7+ years of experience in leading complex transformation or software delivery projects
- 4–6 years of experience within the banking or financial services environment
- Proven experience in large-scale organizational and digital transformation initiatives
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern engineering practices
- Experience with Agile frameworks (SAFe, Scrum, DevSecOps, CI/CD)
- Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
- Strong coordination, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Experience working in cross-functional, international environments
Languages:
- English: Fluent (mandatory)
- German, Spanish, or Polish: strong asset
