About the role

Responsibilities

  • First-Level IT Support: Act as the initial point of contact for all IT queries, providing prompt and effective troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
  • Troubleshooting & Resolution: Address common technical problems related to Windows OS, peripheral devices, and basic network connectivity, escalating complex issues to Tier 2 as needed.
  • Hardware Deployment & Maintenance: Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up computers, monitors, peripherals, and ensuring all hardware is correctly configured. Handle hardware returns and prepare devices for future use.
  • Equipment & Site Maintenance: Support minor facilities responsibilities, including troubleshooting AV equipment like cameras and microphones, maintaining conference rooms, and ensuring on-site tech readiness.
  • Documentation & Communication: Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and issues accurately in the ticketing system, maintaining clear and professional communication with end users.

Qualifications

  • Technical Proficiency: 2 years of experience in an IT support role with hands-on knowledge of hardware and software.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on quick resolution and documentation.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, with a friendly, professional approach.
  • Flexibility & Initiative: Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation & Benefits

This part-time contract position offers an hourly rate of $30-35/hr, commensurate with experience.
