Lead Infrastructure Engineer – Hybrid, Apeldoorn, Netherlands
Professional Services – €4,959 – €6,726 per month
As a Lead Infrastructure Engineer you are the technical expert and manager of a small, specialized team. You will lead your team, optimize processes, and ensure that everyone performs at their best. Together you will guarantee that our clients have a seamlessly functioning infrastructure that maximally supports our software solutions. This includes installing and managing the infrastructure required for the Thinkwise Platform, consisting of database and application servers, in cloud, on‑premises, or hybrid environments.
Responsibilities
- Team Management – Lead, coach, motivate and guide a small team of infrastructure specialists.
- Process Optimization – Analyze and improve existing workflows; implement efficient practices for higher quality and better results.
- Infrastructure Management – Design, implement and optimise infrastructures in Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, on‑premises or hybrid environments; focus on installation and management of database and application servers for the Thinkwise Platform.
- Technical Coordination – Collaborate with internal teams and partners to integrate infrastructure solutions; monitor progress, set priorities and resolve bottlenecks.
- Client Communication – Act as the technical point of contact for clients; translate client needs into concrete solutions and explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities for improvement in infrastructure, processes and workflows; initiate enhancements and drive service development.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure management with strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, on‑premises infrastructures and network technologies.
- Proven leadership experience: capable of coaching, motivating and providing structure to a team.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator, Google Cloud Architect) are a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English; ability to explain complex issues clearly.
- Analytical, results‑oriented and a natural leader.
- Vision for service development and ability to mentor colleagues both professionally and personally.
