Our Challenge

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Automation Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions that streamline and optimize infrastructure provisioning and management. This role involves creating and managing Ansible playbooks, scripting for automation tasks, and working across Linux and Windows environments. The engineer will work on projects aimed at eliminating manual repetitive tasks, thereby increasing efficiency and reliability. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines, the engineer ensures seamless deployment and operation of infrastructure. A foundational understanding of Java and .NET applications is essential for troubleshooting and facilitating smooth integration. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are vital to drive automation initiatives and support ongoing infrastructure needs.

Additional Information

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Toronto, ON is CAD$80k -CAD$90k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
  • Work on projects that eliminate manual toil and enhance automation efficiencies.
  • Deploy and manage infrastructure on Linux and Windows environments.
  • Write shell scripts and PowerShell scripts for automation tasks.
  • Basic understanding of Java and .NET based applications to facilitate integration and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Ansible playbooks.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows-based deployments.
  • Strong scripting skills in Shell and PowerShell.
  • Understanding of Java and .NET applications.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline concepts and tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred skills:

  • Knowledge of banking operations and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Familiarity with data security and privacy protocols in banking.
