Key Responsibilities
Daily Operations & Team Management
- Operational Excellence: Direct day-to-day IT operations, monitoring system performance, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and serving as the escalation point for critical incidents.
- People Leadership: Manage, mentor, and evaluate a high-performing team of 10+ IT professionals, including Level 2/3 System Administrators and Desktop Support Administrators.
- Lifecycle Management: Oversee the enterprise desktop and server lifecycle management, including provisioning, patch management, software deployment, and hardware decommissioning.
Enterprise Citrix Architecture & Upgrades
- Citrix Environment Ownership: Serve as the subject matter expert for the enterprise Citrix environment, ensuring seamless delivery of virtual apps and desktops to end-users.
- Upgrades & Migrations: Plan, architect, and execute seamless upgrades to the latest Citrix versions, minimizing business downtime through rigorous testing and change management.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize Citrix environment performance, including provisioning services (PVS/MCS), StoreFront configuration, and NetScaler/Citrix ADC optimization.
Compliance, Security & HITRUST
- HITRUST i1 Certification: Act as a key stakeholder in achieving and maintaining the HITRUST i1 (Implemetation-only) certification. Ensure infrastructure policies, configurations, and access controls strictly align with HITRUST requirements.
- Audit Readiness: Lead regular internal audits, vulnerability remediation, and continuous monitoring processes required to pass annual HITRUST assessments.
Microsoft Ecosystem Management
- Microsoft Suite Administration: Oversee the management of the enterprise Microsoft Suite (M365, Azure AD/Entra ID, Exchange Online, and SharePoint).
Required Technical Skillset & Qualifications
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 5+ years in a supervisory or team leadership role managing 10+ direct reports.
- Citrix Expertise: Deep hands-on experience deploying, managing, and upgrading enterprise-level Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops solutions to the latest versions.
- Compliance Frameworks: Proven experience working within audited environments, with direct, practical knowledge of the HITRUST i1 certification framework and its controls.
- Microsoft Stack: Comprehensive knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory/GPO, Office 365 administration, and infrastructure-level requirements for MS SQL Server.
- End-User Computing: Strong understanding of modern desktop management practices (e.g., Intune/MECM, imaging, enterprise mobility management).
- Communication: Strong communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams, end-users, and compliance auditors.
Preferred Certifications
- Citrix: Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V) or Citrix Certified Expert (CCE-V)
- Compliance: HITRUST Certified CCSFP (Certified Common Security Framework Practitioner) is a major plus
- Microsoft: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or Enterprise Administrator Expert
