Infrastructure Design Coordinator (TAS2 A4 SC2)

Position Overview

The Infrastructure Design Coordinator will support space planning and infrastructure initiatives by developing and modifying building floorplans and infrastructure layouts related to A/V systems, video conferencing, IoT devices, and network connectivity.

This role will collaborate with multiple internal teams and external partners to ensure infrastructure designs align with the Space Optimization and Utilization Project (SOUP) and other facility modernization initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify building floorplans to support audio/visual systems, video conferencing setups, IoT devices, and network infrastructure.
• Analyze infrastructure layouts and identify design issues or inefficiencies, proposing effective solutions within SOUP design initiatives.
• Participate in space planning and infrastructure design meetings with stakeholders.
• Serve as a liaison between Workplace Solutions management and technical teams.
• Utilize Bluebeam Revu and other design tools to develop and update infrastructure documentation.
• Coordinate with the Department of General Services Bureau of Real Estate and Capital Programs on infrastructure planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and facility lessors involved in building infrastructure projects.
• Work closely with Enterprise Telecom, Network Operations, and Video Conferencing teams to ensure infrastructure compatibility and operational efficiency.

Required Skills

• Experience designing and modifying floorplans for AV, telecom, IoT, and network infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of building infrastructure, construction processes, and architectural drawings.
• Ability to identify design challenges and provide practical solutions within space planning initiatives.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to effectively liaise with internal teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu and related infrastructure design tools.
• Experience collaborating with real estate teams, contractors, vendors, and government agencies.
• Ability to work closely with telecommunications, network operations, and video conferencing teams.
